Watkins Glen, N. Y. – Scott Heckert repeated as winner of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Watkins Glen International Friday evening. Fittingly, Heckert was driving the Bully Hill Vineyards Chevrolet in the title sponsor’s race, the Bully Hill Vineyards 125.
Taking the lead on lap 29 of the 51-lap caution-flag riddled race, the Connecticut driver was repeatedly challenged but never overtaken. His margin of victory was 1.5 seconds.
Heckert now has four career victories with three of them coming on road courses.
Dalton Sargeant in a Chevrolet took second place with J. J. Haley third, also in a Chevrolet.
Dylan Lupton came in fourth ahead of early leader Cole Custer.
Open-wheell star Rico Abreu started 17th and finished 12th.
