Knoxville, Iowa, June 18—Joining the traditional broadcasts of sprint car racing from the Knoxville Raceway, this week fans will be able to catch all the action of the 6th annual Pepsi/Mt.Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals. The event will be sanctioned by the USAC, Badger, POWRi, ARDC and RMMRA Midget Series.
Friday and Saturday Night’s June 22-23 events can be heard live on 1320 AM KNIA or on the web at www.kniakrls.com, and click on “radio plus” at their web site. Broadcasts each evening begin at 8:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time)/ 7:30 pm local time. Jamie Brockman will handle the sprint car play by play, while Bryan Gapinski will call the midget race action. Derek Cardwell will do the pit and infield interviews.
The midget race broadcast is presented in part by sponsorship from Chevrolet, Ford, Mopar and Toyota Racing Development sponsors of the National Midget Driver of the Year Championship.
