11/29/2007 Roush Fenway Racing Creates Holiday iMix for Fans Available on iTunes CONCORD, N.C. (November 29, 2007) The NASCAR season is over and now its on to the holiday season so, due to the success of their first iTunes iMix, Roush Fenway Racing and some of its drivers decided to create a special holiday playlist for their fans. I think creating iMixes is a great way for fans to stay connected to their favorite driver on- and off-season, says Amy Rowell, Director of Internet Marketing at Roush Fenway Racing. They have the opportunity to learn more about the driver by finding out what their favorite songs areand everyone has favorite holiday songs. To some people it may seem a little odd to be doing something like this but I think it makes perfect sense. Fans want to know more about their favorite driver than what he does on the track. In addition to that, the first one we made was a big hit with our fans so it definitely made sense to do another one. The 2007 Official Roush Fenway Racing Holiday Mix will be available until November 29, 2008.

Click here to purchase and download the playlist from iTunes. You can also search for the iMix in the Music section of iTunes by clicking on iMix and typing Roush Fenway into the search window.

Below are the drivers selections along with their comments: Greg Biffles Picks: I’ll Be Home for Christmas by Bing Crosby: Because I like being home for Christmas… Mele Kalikimaka by Jimmy Buffett The Chipmunks Song (Christmas Dont Be Late) by Alvin and the Chipmunks Jamie McMurrays Picks: I have to admit I like the older Christmas songs. It’s tradition, you know? I can remember Mom playing Christmas music right after Thanksgiving and all the way through Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday of the year. White Christmas by Bing Crosby Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee O Holy Night by Bing Crosby David Ragans Picks: Carol of the Bells by John Williams Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer by Gene Autry Redneck 12 days of Christmas by Jeff Foxworthy Erik Darnells Picks: Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney: Always been one of my favorites, although I’m sure it’s on a lot of people’s lists. Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley: Another one of my favorites, don’t really have a reason why. Dominic the Donkey by Lou Monte: This is pure silliness. Who knew donkeys could be Italian? Travis Kvapils Picks: Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer by Elmo & Patsy: This is just pretty humorous. I’m Gettin Nothin for Christmas by Abstract Ensemble: This brings back funny childhood memories of being mischievous. Santa Claus Is Comin to Town by Bruce Springsteen: This is a great fast, upbeat, rock-n-roll holiday song. Colin Brauns Picks: When It’s Christmas Time in Texas by George Strait: I like George Strait a lot and I’m from Texas so this song reminds me of what it’s like at home during Christmas. Winter Wonderland by Brooks & Dunn: This is a classic with a bit of a country twist. Jingle Bell Rock by George Strait: This is a fun song that puts me in the holiday spirit. Ricky Stenhouses Picks: Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee: I love the movie “Home Alone” and this song reminds of that movie (when Kevin is decorating the house and setting up his plan to take care of the bad guys). Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer by Elmo & Patsy: This is just a fun song. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Alan Jackson: I like Alan Jackson a lot and this is one of my favorite Christmas songs that he sings. In addition to its drivers, Roush Fenway decided to add a few mystery employee picks to the mix: Baby, Its Cold Outside by Dean Martin: Two words: Rat Pack Jingle Bells by Frank Sinatra: Two more words: Rat Pack Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano: This song puts me in such a good holiday mood. Its justfun! Twelve Days of Christmas by John Denver and the Muppets: I listened to this song over and over when I was a kid. My parents probably wanted to hurl the record (yes, record) out the window. Youre a Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Burl Ives: This has to be in the mix. Who hasnt tried to learn all the words to this song and failed miserably? I still cant get them right. Christmas Time Is Here by Richard Cheese: Richard Cheese is genius and he does the best covers by turning popular songs into lounge-singer style songs. Im so glad he added some Christmas tunes to his list. Hes hilarious!
