Serralles Prevails In Indy Lights GP of St. Petersburg – RacingNation.com

St. Petersburg, Fla. – Felix Serralles led the closing 13 laps to win the first of two Indy Lights Grand Prix of St. Petersburg races. Starting seventh, the Puerto Rico native drove the Carlin entry and he averaged 94.6 miles per hour in winning the 30-lap race on the street circuit.

Scott Hargrove finished second 5.5 seconds behind the winner with Kyle Kaiser third.

Santiago Urrutia and RC Jones finished fourth and fifth.

Zach Leach led the opening 17 laps until his car suddenly slowed down and ending his shot at a victory. He finished last three laps down.

Sixteen cars started Saturday’s mid-day race and they all finished.

The Indy Lights Series races again on Sunday prior to the main event, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
