Kansas Lottery FREE Day at Kansas Speedway Set for April 25
KANSAS CITY KS (3-10-08)– The ARCA RE/MAX Series Kansas Lottery $150 Grand at Kansas Speedway, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 26th, will now take place one day earlier on Friday, April 25th, 2008. In addition, the track has designated Friday, April 25 “Kansas Lottery FREE Day at Kansas Speedway.” Grandstand admission to the race will be free, courtesy of the Kansas Lottery.
“With the support of long-time Kansas Speedway partner the Kansas Lottery, we were able to make Friday, April 25 ‘Kansas Lottery FREE Day at Kansas Speedway’ with free admission to the ARCA race,” said Kansas Speedway President Jeff Boerger. “I want to thank the Kansas Lottery for allowing us to move their race to Friday and I look forward to welcoming the community to Kansas Speedway and showcasing our facility for the Kansas Lottery $150 Grand.”
The ARCA RE/MAX Series will practice, qualify and race at Kansas Speedway on Friday, April 25th, returning to the successful one-day format utilized in 2007 when Scott Lagasse, Jr. drove to victory lane over Erik Darnell, Blake Feese and Mario Gosselin. Other former race winners at the 1.5-mile tri-oval include two-time winner Frank Kimmel, Chad Blount, Ryan Hemphill, Shelby Howard and Jason Jarrett.
“We’re pleased to work with both Kansas Speedway and the Kansas Lottery in establishing Friday April 25th as Kansas Lottery FREE Day at Kansas Speedway, featuring the ARCA RE/MAX Series as the exclusive race event on that day,” said ARCA President Ron Drager. “Our relationship with Kansas Speedway extends back to running the track’s inaugural event in 2001, and the Kansas Lottery has been the title sponsor of the ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Kansas Speedway since 2004. We’re right in line with a plan that benefits both of our long term partners.”
The ARCA RE/MAX Series, now in its 56th year of competition, has competed at Kansas Speedway each consecutive year since the track’s inception in 2001. The Kansas Lottery has served as race event title sponsor for ARCA RE/MAX Series events at Kansas since 2004.
Fans can bring in one 6x6x12-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverage and parking is always free at Kansas Speedway.
