RacingNation.com Power Rankings Jimmie Johnson 3 for 3. Can he get any hotter? Jeff Gordon Gordon had the pole and win at Phoenix in the spring,he needs to repeat that performance this weekend. Clint Bowyer Texas was Clint’s worst finish since the beginning of September. Kyle Busch Five top five finishes in the Chase. Phoenix is a strong possibility for a Kyle Busch win. Matt Kenseth If only this run could have started earlier in the Chase. Look for Matt to contend again at Phoenix. Carl Edwards Busch Series Championship hangover? Tony Stewart What ever happened to Tony the Tiger? The COT at Phoenix may provide a spark. Kurt Busch Two eight place finishes in a row. There still is a chance for a top five Chase finish. Jeff Burton Three top 10 finishes in the last four races but, Phoenix could be a bump in the road for Burton. Martin Truex Jr. Texas will be a good place to get a finish that matches the solid runs that Martin has had. Denny Hamlin On the decending track of the rolloercoaster, like his teammate, the COT race may be what Denny needs. Kevin Harvick Nothing specatacular, but good finishes lately. Spectacular may need to wait for 2008. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Phoenix may be the track that Jr clinches 13th in the points. Ryan Newman Bad Finish, Top 5, Bad Finish, Top 5, Bad Finish, Top 5 – Hopefully Phoenix will break the pattern. Bobby Labonte With a top five at Phoenix in the spring, could this be the track that Bobby gets a good finish? Quick note: ever since I started prediciting a win for Labonte at the last couple tracks, his finishes have been in the toilet – Sorry Bobby.
